My name is Joost de Valk, and I am an entrepreneur and an SEO specialist. I am the founder of Yoast and the creator of the first versions of the Yoast SEO plugin. After the early years of Yoast, I had a whole team working on the software together.
Currently, I am an investor at Emilia Capital, and I work as a consultant and an entrepreneur. And, I created Fewer Tags!
Why Fewer Tags?
Fewer Tags is a plugin. Fewer Tags Pro consists of a plugin and an online course. The free plugin will automatically decrease the number of tags on your site. Fewer Tags Pro (and the course) will help you use tags correctly.
In the Fewer Tags course, I will discuss everything about tags and tag pages. If you use tags wisely, they can be an asset and very beneficial to your website. Unfortunately, a lot of people do not use tags wisely at all!
Don’t feel bad if you have been misusing tags! I’ve done a lot of research and found very few examples of people doing it correctly. That’s also why I developed the Fewer Tags plugin and made this course.
What can you expect from the Fewer Tags course?
The course consists of 14 lessons divided over 4 modules. In the first module, I’ll explain why there are many problems concerning the use of tags and tag pages. Next to that, I’ll explain what the consequences of misusing tags can be.
In the second module, I’ll help you identify problems with tags that you might have on your website.
And finally, in the third module, we will discuss the solutions to the problems. After that third module, you’ll be able to dive deep into a slightly different topic: categories. We’ve created a bonus module for those interested in properly using categories.
Every module consists of short lessons with a video and a PDF document. The document contains the same information as the video, summarized in text.
